'The Truth Lives On': Priyanka Gandhi Tweets For The First Time


NEW DELHI — Congress basic secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted for the primary time on Tuesday, over a month after joining Twitter.

She put out two tweets in fast succession ― one on Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram and the opposite quoting the Father of the Country towards violence.

In her first tweet posted over a month after she joined Twitter on February 11, she stated:

Priyanka Gandhi, who was once appointed AICC general secretary in-charge Uttar Pradesh East, had garnered an enormous reaction on becoming a member of Twitter, attracting over one lakh fans at the social media platform inside of 10 hours.

Evaluating her first-day reputation at the micro-blogging website online to that of Tamil famous person Rajinikanth, senior Congress chief Shashi Tharoor had hailed her as a “new famous person on social media”.

Recently, she has over 2,40,000 fans.
